With the 2012 pro fastpitch season now just 3 weeks away, we open up the first round of the NCAA tournament today with Miss St vs BYU and Portland St vs Oregon.
I opened this blog 342 days ago on the day of the pro fastpitch season opener last year and currently sit at 499 followers, which is more then I imagined. I love seeing the support of softball coming from all ages. I do wish softball was more publicized like other sports but it is obvious it is growing still. Although college softball is still largely dominated by the SEC and Pac12 area schools, there are more schools joining the fight and making the entire nation stronger. I wish softball was back in the olympics but it is great to know that the players can now dedicate their summers to making the NPF into a respectable league. I love watching softball. I love being at the games. I love cheering on the girls. A good softball game beats a good baseball game almost every time.
This winter I was fortunate enough to be noticed and I have been able to help out with the Chicago Bandits and Akron Racers pro teams as a graphic designer. I’m doing my best to help the league and sport grow and starting with the design elements seems like a good idea. You can look for my work to be all over the stadiums this year hopefully in the media guides, pocket schedules, t-shirts, banners, flyers, posters and more. I hope everyone enjoys everything.
Once I reach 500 followers, I am going to try and open things up for more interaction. Trying to see what people like, what they play, where they play. Hopefully with the 2012 season, we can have some more fun.

It was a great year for the Wisconsin Badgers but it officially comes to a close without a bid in the NCAA Tournament. The program is definitely on the rise and should be competitive for years to come.
Michigan and Northwestern will represent the Big 10 in the tournament this year
